Is My Vitruvian Dog An Artist?

This kinetic installation and interactive performance by Marina Calamai that playfully questions the boundaries of artistic expression. Inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man, Calamai reimagines the perfect human proportions through the lens of a dog, celebrating the grace, intelligence, and spontaneity of our four-legged companions. The work merges movement, sound, and audience participation, transforming the act of creation into an energetic, joyful dialogue between species. It invites us to reconsider the role of animals in art—not just as muses, but as active participants in the creative process.
