Beagle Portrait
With great love for nature and all its fauna and flora, the Dogaholic series which was launched to mark the 500th anniversary of Leonardo da Vinci’s death, together with the performance art titled “Is my Vitruvian dog an artist?” by Marina Calamai. Dedicated to our hairy four-legged friends, whose unconditional love and fidelity can be celebrated, these portraits can be worn as a broach, necklace, or bracelet and can be personalized with their names.
Material: Bronze
All our pieces are original designs, handmade by Marina Calamai, and made using the Renaissance lost-wax casting method. We choose to cast in bronze due to the beauty of this transformative metal. Symbolizing the color of strength and support, bronze’s warmer color than gold, can patina over time. You can either choose to play with the beautiful patinas, or keep your jewels shiny like the mythological shield of Achilles.
